As part of Greensboro’s path toward becoming a more sustainable community, the #LiveGreen Awards Program has been created to recognize leadership in sustainable business practices. Greensboro residents are invited to submit nominations in one of the following categories:

- Energy Wise Award – For achievements in renewable energy use, energy efficiency, reduction in air pollutants, or other innovative energy practices.

- Friend of Sustainability Awards – For fostering sustainability awareness, literacy or action through innovative programs, communications, inclusive partnerships, peer-to-peer outreach, and other pathways.

- In Touch with Nature Award – For achievements in natural resource conservation, land preservation, use of native plants or drought-tolerant landscaping, light pollution reduction, green space creation, restoration of natural areas, or other innovative environmental stewardship practices.

- Quality of Life Award – For achievements in promoting living wage, access to education, access to healthcare and childcare, access to healthy foods, or other innovative quality of life practices.

- Waste Not Award – For achievements in recycling, composting, waste avoidance, responsible sourcing, waste recovery, or other innovative waste practices.

- Water Wise Award – For achievements in conserving water, reusing waste water, managing stormwater, or other innovative water practices.

The winning nominee in each category will be presented with an award and recognized at the Earth Day event on April 22, at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville St., which will include a sustainable business keynote speaker.

Nominations must be submitted through this online form ( https://form.jotform.com/230374048442048) by March 22. In addition to submitting a nomination form, nominators will be asked to provide supporting documentation. Nominations that are not accompanied by supporting documentation will not be considered.
