City of Greensboro issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.

In response to recent United Furniture Industries (UFI) layoffs, GuilfordWorks will host a Career Fair from 10 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, December 13, at the NCWorks Career Center in High Point, 607 Idol St.

This event features multiple employers and resource providers meant to offer impacted individuals job opportunities and additional resources.

In August, GuilfordWorks held a Dislocation and Transition event for UFI’s impacted employees and hosted a separate hiring event with 14 participating employers, later that month.
