City of Greensboro issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.

Congratulations to Marcel Bailey – who will attend Greensboro College this fall – on receiving a scholarship from the North Carolina Black Elected Municipal Officials.

 Bailey received his scholarship from Councilwoman Sharon Hightower, who serves as the president of NC BEMO. 

Bailey was one of three recipients of the scholarship.
