Greensboro City Council meeting set for April 21 at municipal office building

The Greensboro City Council will hold its next meeting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, April 21, in the Katie Dorsett Council Chamber of the Melvin Municipal Office Building at 300 W. Washington St., according to an announcement made on April 15.

The meeting is open to residents who wish to participate or observe local government proceedings. Those who want to speak during the council session must submit an online request by 5 pm the day before the meeting. Alternatively, residents can register in person with a courier using a Qminder kiosk upon arrival. A QR code will also be available for scanning into personal mobile devices as another registration option.

For those unable to attend in person, the council meetings are broadcast live on several platforms. These include the city’s official website, its YouTube page, and Greensboro Television Network (GTN). Additionally, meetings are available on AT&T U-verse channel 99, Lumos channel 31, and Spectrum channel 13. Viewers may also use streaming applications such as Cablecast via Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, iOS, and Android devices by downloading a free app from standard app stores.

Agendas, minutes, and videos from past meetings are posted online for public access. Residents seeking information about accessibility or requiring assistance under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) can contact ADA Coordinator Sherria High by phone or email. For other inquiries related to city council operations or documentation requests, citizens are encouraged to reach out to the City Clerk’s office.
