The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department announced on Apr. 29 that registration for its adult basketball leagues will open from Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 29.

The announcement is important for local residents interested in recreational sports opportunities during the summer. The department is offering a women’s 3-on-3 league as well as men’s competitive and recreational basketball leagues.

Competition in all three leagues is set to take place from June 8 to July 24. Women who wish to participate can register individually at a cost of $75 per person and will be assigned to teams when the season begins. Registration for the women’s league includes a jersey. Men’s teams can register at a fee of $475 per team.

Team managers will receive schedules by email about one week before the season starts. Additional information about schedules and league bylaws is available on the department’s website.

Registration details and further resources are accessible online, allowing interested participants to learn more or sign up ahead of the deadline.
