The City of Greensboro Department of Transportation announced on Apr. 14 that it will host two virtual open house sessions for the East Gate City Boulevard Corridor Study on Tuesday, April 28. The sessions are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. and from 6 to 7 p.m., with registration available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/virtualEGC.

The purpose of these sessions is to give community members a chance to learn about the study, review proposed concepts, and share feedback with city staff. The study is focused on evaluating current conditions along East Gate City Boulevard and considering options to improve safety, enhance public transit, and make the corridor more walkable and bike-friendly. These efforts build upon recommendations from the East Gate City Boulevard Corridor Plan adopted by the City Council in August 2023.

City officials said that the information presented during these upcoming open house sessions will be identical to what was shared with residents in February.

Community input collected during these events will help shape future steps as the project continues. More details can be found at www.greensboro-nc.gov/EastGateCityCorridor.
