Due to ongoing inclement weather, all Guilford County offices, services, operations, and facilities will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Residents with appointments scheduled before 10 a.m. at the Guilford County Division of Public Health are asked to call to reschedule. The clinic can be reached at 336-641-3245 for Greensboro or High Point locations. Dental appointments should contact 336-641-3152 in Greensboro or 336-641-7733 in High Point. For WIC services, residents can call 336-641-3214 in Greensboro or 336-641-7571 in High Point.
The Veterans Services office in Greensboro, located inside the NCWorks Career Center at 2301 W. Meadowview Rd., will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Veterans needing assistance may visit the Veterans Services office in High Point at 325 E. Recent data from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction shows that among senior students taking the science portion of the ACT in Guilford County school districts during the 2022–23 school year, about 22 percent were considered ready for college (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/). Junior students had similar results with roughly 21 percent meeting college readiness standards in science (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/). In reading, approximately 31 percent of seniors and about 28 percent of juniors met college readiness benchmarks (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/). For math, around 24 percent of seniors and just over 21 percent of juniors achieved scores indicating college readiness (https://www.dpi.nc.gov/).
