The Kellin Foundation switched to offering its services and programs virtually as a way to stay active in during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The non-profit's focuses on building resilient people from children to adults in addition to family units with services that include behavioral outreach, advocating on behalf of victims and community outreach, is shifting to telehealth, the News & Record reported.
There will be online meetings for different groups hosted by staff members. The meetings are free and offer a place for those people who are served to relay concerns. They will also be able to gain invaluable tools for dealing with stress and anxiety, according to the News & Record. Groups listed to benefit from the services during the current COVID-19 pandemic are teachers, parents, essential workers, behavioral health providers and children.
The foundation lists its primary target population as those that are uninsured or under-insured. Almost all of its services are free and/or deeply reduced in cost.
