The CBRE Triad and CBRE Raleigh Industrial and Logistics group completed 75 lease and sale transactions totaling 5.3-million square feet and a $238.3-million transaction value in the first six months of 2020.
The group represents clients who have an industrial leasing portfolio of more than 6.6-million square feet, the company said in a September news release.
"Although the pandemic has affected us all, the industrial market for Raleigh-Durham and the Triad has seen robust activity driven by the need for both distribution centers and manufacturing facilities," Managing Director of Industrial and Logistics for the company's regional market Dodson Schenck said in a Sept. 10 release. "On both a local and national level, we are seeing low vacancy rates, record-high rental rates, and positive net absorption. We expect the need for industrial space across North Carolina to continue despite the current economic uncertainty."
