Greensboro College issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
We wanted to share and highlight Ann Ivey Cranford, Class of 1958, who was recently named the recipient of the 2021 Alumni Excellence Award!
Professionally, Ann has worked as an Assistant to the Director of Public Relations at Burlington Industries (where she met her husband, Charles L. Cranford III), a Teacher of Speech and Drama at Mecklenburg County High School, and Human Resources Director and then Security Director at Carlyle & Co. Jewelers. Additionally, she worked in Wise Home’s corporate office in Greensboro. Ann has also served on the City of Greensboro Security Council and was elected president of the N.C. Jewelers Association.
She is also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and she and her husband have been members of Christ United Methodist Church for more than 55 years.
