Greensboro College issued the following announcement on Feb. 8.
Greensboro College is happy to announce that its 2022 GCC Visiting Writer is Class of 2015 member, Briana Thomas, who will be conducting a series of events in February related to her book, "Black Broadway in Washington D.C." In her book, Thomas examines the historical and cultural significance of the U-Street corridor from its development to the modern day as one of the most important districts of African American life in the country.
All events will be virtual. Events will include small lunchtime group discussions at 12 noon on Feb. 3rd and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 17th, as well as a Reading on Feb. 18th at 6 p.m. Students, faculty, and staff can pick up a free copy of Briana's book at the GCC. The reading is open to both the campus community and the public.
