City of Greensboro issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.
The Drama Center is offering musical theatre, movie-making and playwright summer camps for children and teens June 15-July 17. The cost is $250 per week. Families that register by March 3 will receive a $50 discount. Register online.
Each camp runs for one week from 9 am to 5 pm in the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. All these camps offer a well-rounded theatre experience. Campers will learn acting, singing, and dancing, and will create props, sets and costumes. There will be a live performance at the end of the week. Scholarships and sibling discounts are available.
2020 Session Details
Do a Musical: For ages 6-15. A partnership with The Drama Center, The Dance Project, and Art Alliance. These weeks will sell out, so families are encouraged to book early.
June 15-19 - “The Lion King”
June 22-26 - “Frozen”
July 6-10 - “Jungle Book”
Let’s Make a Movie: July 6-10 for ages 13-15 and July 13-17 for ages 9-12. Class will write, act, shoot, and edit a movie.
Calling all Playwrights: July 13-17 for ages 13-15. Learn how to write a play. Play will be presented on the last day.
