Congresswoman Kathy Manning, representing North Carolina’s 6th district since 2021, has made several public statements through her social media platform addressing various pressing issues. Manning, who is stepping down from Congress, shared her thoughts and legislative efforts on November 18 and 19, 2024.

On November 18, Manning reflected on the ongoing situation involving Keith Seigel, a North Carolinian held hostage following Hamas's attack on Israel over a year ago. She emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to secure his release and that of others still held captive by Hamas terrorists. "Over a year has passed since Hamas’s horrific October 7th attack on our ally Israel, and Keith Seigel, a fellow North Carolinian, remains held hostage. We must keep fighting for his return, along with all hostages still held by Hamas terrorists."

Later that day, she highlighted her bipartisan resolution with Representative Chris Smith aimed at supporting global initiatives to combat antisemitism. This resolution was set to be voted on in the House Floor that week. Manning called upon her colleagues to back this measure as part of a collective stand against the rising threat of antisemitism. "This week, my bipartisan resolution with Rep. Chris Smith, backing @StateSEAS’s global efforts to combat antisemitism, heads to the House Floor for a vote. I urge my colleagues to join me in supporting this resolution & taking a stand against the alarming rise of antisemitism."

On November 19, Manning announced Representative Dan Goldman as the new Co-chair of the House Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Anti-Semitism (HouseBTFCA) for the upcoming 119th Congress session. As she prepares to leave Congress, Manning expressed confidence in Goldman's leadership for continuing their work within the task force. "I’m thrilled to announce @RepDanGoldman as the new Co-chair of the @HouseBTFCA in the 119th Congress. As I depart Congress, I'm proud to leave the Task Force under his trusted leadership."
