Democratic candidate Josh Stein has come under criticism from the Guilford County Republican Party following his remarks about Lt. Governor Mark Robinson. Chris Meadows, Chairman of the Guilford GOP, issued a statement expressing disapproval of what he described as personal attacks by Stein against Robinson.

Meadows criticized Stein's approach, saying it was "unsubstantiated" and accusing him of not providing evidence for his claims. According to Meadows, Stein's campaign strategy focuses on attacking Robinson instead of discussing policy or accomplishments from his tenure as North Carolina's Attorney General.

The statement also accused Stein of representing "white privilege," suggesting that his criticisms are attempts to undermine a "conservative black man." Meadows asserted that electing Robinson as Governor would challenge the Democratic narrative regarding minority interests.

Furthermore, Meadows pointed out that Stein has yet to offer solutions for issues such as illegal immigration, crime reduction, and economic improvement in North Carolina. The Guilford County Republican Party is advocating for pragmatic policies aimed at addressing these challenges and believes that electing Republicans will benefit the state.

In closing, Meadows emphasized the importance of a united Republican front to counteract what he described as unfounded allegations from Democratic sources.
