City of Greenville issued the following announcement on May 19.
Summer camps for 2020 at A Time for Science have been canceled. This decision was a difficult one, but it is required in order for staff to adapt to new programming format which will be necessary due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Time for Science is working to develop new safety measures for our programming while making sure we effectively train our employees to ensure those measures are met. When programs and camps are able to begin again, they will have a lower capacity than our traditional camps and programs and will include new safety measures.
Our top priority is keeping our campers and employees safe. Other summer programs, which have lower capacity numbers, are still being evaluated and an update will be provided as soon as possible.
