City of Greensboro issued the following announcement on July 4.
On July 26, Greensboro voters will decide whether to authorize the City to borrow up to $70 million for parks and recreation bonds.
If this referendum is approved, bond funds will be used to build and improve:
• Windsor-Chavis-Nocho Joint Use Facility $50 million
Phase 2 Enhancing connectivity and collaboration between Libraries and Parks & Recreation, the Windsor Chavis Nocho Community Complex will benefit the entire City through unique and diverse recreation, leisure, and learning opportunities in one
convenient location.
• Greensboro Science Center – Phase 2 $20 million
Continued enhancements at the Greensboro Science Center Gateway Project include iconic art and diverse amenities and activities that blend science, history, culture, art, nature, and technology in innovative formal and informal spaces.
