CITY OF GREENSBORO PUBLIC LIBRARY: Get ready for Halloween by playing our life-sized version of Candy Land!

City of Greensboro Public Library issued the following announcement on Oct. 24.

Life-Sized Halloween Candy Land at the McNairy Branch – Get ready for Halloween by playing our life-sized version of Candy Land!

Space is limited and registration is required.

Reservations for Halloween Candy Land can be made at the following times:

- between the hours of 2 - 4:30 pm and 6 - 8 pm on Tuesday, October 25

- between 2 - 5 pm on Wednesday, October 26

- between 11 am - 12 pm and 2 - 5 pm on Thursday, October 27.

Group size is limited to 10 people. To reserve your spot, please call the Glenn McNairy Branch at 336-373-2015. Please provide the total number of people in the group, including children and adults. This program is for all ages.

Teen Tech Tuesday at McGirt-Horton Branch – Come to the library to explore technology in many different ways on Tuesday, October 25 at 4 pm. Explore circuits, video, games, and more.

Teen Beading and Reading Club at Vance Chavis Branch – Vance Chavis Branch hosts a beading club for children and teens, ages 10-18, each Tuesday at 4:30 pm, where we talk about our favorite books, characters and stories while working with jewelry-making supplies. Each time we meet, participants receive supplies for beading two bracelets.

McGirt-Horton Game Night – Game nights are back at McGirt-Horton! Come in for an evening of board games, video games, role playing games, and trivia on Thursday, October 27, at 5 pm. This is a casual event aimed at providing a space to relax and meet new people. 

Teen Ink, Craft & Paint Club – Teens aged 12-18 years old are are welcome to join Miss Kristen from the Vance Chavis Branch in the Game Room at the Windsor Recreation Center each Thursday at 5 pm, where we will get crafty with ink, paint and art. This is a chance for visitors at the Windsor Recreation Center to tap into their love for art and inspire each other with glue, glitter and more!

Halloween Minute-to-Win-It at Benjamin Branch – Reserve a time for your group to play Halloween-themed minute-to-win-it games in the library's meeting room this Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30! Test yourself against the clock with hilarious challenges. Your group will get 45 minutes to play.

This program is appropriate for school age, tweens, teens and families.
