Will Spend $10.3 Million Paving 80 Miles of Roads in 2023 | CITY OF GREENSBORO: (greensboro-nc.gov)
City of Greensboro issued the following announcement on March 1.
The City of Greensboro will spend $10.3 million paving 80 miles of roads in 2023 – the largest paving contract in the City’s history. Work will begin in March.
The 59 roads were chosen based on a Field Operations Department evaluation of pavement conditions as well as other factors, such as traffic volume, safety, and utility construction schedules.
Twelve roads will be evaluated by the Department of Transportation for possible redesign, including safety improvements. Two roads – North Elm Street and Willow Road – will get bike lanes.
