Congresswoman Kathy Manning, representing North Carolina’s 6th district, shared several updates and personal experiences through her social media platform. Manning has been serving in Congress since 2021, after replacing Mark Walker. She is known for her active engagement with her constituents and participation in national events.

On December 10, 2024, Manning expressed her gratitude for attending a significant event at the White House. "I had an incredible evening at the White House Congressional Holiday Ball! Thank you @POTUS and @FLOTUS for hosting such a festive celebration to kick off the holiday season."

The following day, on December 11, 2024, she announced an important update regarding disaster assistance for those affected by Hurricane Helene. "NEWS: The deadline to apply for Disaster Unemployment Assistance has been extended to January 7, 2025. North Carolinians in 39 counties, including Forsyth, impacted by Hurricane Helene are eligible to apply." This extension provides additional time for residents to seek aid during their recovery efforts.

Later that same day, Congresswoman Manning congratulated a colleague on a new leadership role within the Democratic Women’s Caucus. "Congratulations to my friend @RepTeresaLF on being elected the next Chair of the @DemWomenCaucus! I’m proud to stand with the DWC to fight for America’s women and girls." Her message reflects support and solidarity with initiatives aimed at empowering women and girls across the nation.
