Congresswoman Kathy Manning, representing North Carolina's 6th district, recently shared her activities and concerns through a series of tweets. Manning, who has served in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Mark Walker, focused on infrastructure development, early childhood education programs, and misinformation challenges related to disaster recovery efforts.

On October 18, 2024, Congresswoman Manning highlighted her visit to Martin Marietta’s Greensboro facility. She stated: "I had a great time visiting Martin Marietta’s Greensboro facility to learn more about their five quarry operations in #NC06 and how they’re benefiting from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law I helped pass."

Later that day, she addressed potential threats to early childhood education funding posed by political plans. She tweeted: "Head Start provides early childhood education to over 1,600 low-income kids in #NC06, yet Donald Trump’s extreme Project 2025 plans would eliminate this critical program for NC families in need. We @HouseDemocrats are fighting to protect investments in early education."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Congresswoman Manning expressed concerns regarding misinformation affecting Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. She wrote: "Misinformation about Hurricane Helene recovery efforts is making it harder for those impacted by the storm to get the help they need. That's why I'm calling on social media companies & TV broadcasters to address the harmful spread of misinformation."
