Congresswoman Kathy Manning, representing North Carolina’s 6th district since 2021, has expressed concerns on various national issues through her recent tweets. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1956 and a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Michigan Law School, Manning currently resides in Greensboro.

On October 22, 2024, Congresswoman Manning highlighted the issue of misinformation related to Hurricane Helene. She stated that "Online misinformation is making it harder for Hurricane Helene victims to get the help they need." She further mentioned joining forces with fellow representatives Deborah Ross and Wiley Nickel to address foreign involvement in spreading this misinformation.

Later that day, she addressed former President Donald Trump's Project 2025 agenda concerning reproductive rights. Manning tweeted that "Donald Trump’s extreme Project 2025 agenda targets FDA approval of the abortion medication, Mifepristone." She emphasized the ongoing efforts by Democrats to safeguard reproductive freedoms against attacks from MAGA Republicans.

In another tweet on the same day, Congresswoman Manning described Project 2025 as part of Trump's broader political strategy. She noted that "Project 2025 is simply a more detailed blueprint of Donald Trump’s extreme MAGA agenda." While acknowledging Trump's claims about not authoring the plan personally, she insisted it reflects his policy objectives.
