Congresswoman Kathy Manning, who represents North Carolina's 6th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates through her social media platform recently. Her posts touched on significant local events and national policy changes.

On October 19, 2024, Manning celebrated the homecoming of North Carolina A&T State University. She expressed pride in representing the institution, noting its status as a leading educational establishment in her district and as the largest historically Black university in the United States. "This weekend, NC A&T State University is celebrating its 98th homecoming! I’m proud to represent @ncatsuaggies as a leading educational institution in #NC06 and as the largest historically Black university in the country."

Two days later, on October 21, 2024, Manning announced significant developments from the Biden-Harris Administration regarding reproductive health. She highlighted a new rule aimed at expanding access to birth control for women of reproductive age across the nation. "Big news! The Biden-Harris Administration is taking new actions to expand access to birth control. When finalized, this new rule will boost access to over-the-counter, no-cost contraception for 52 million women of reproductive age."

Later that day, Manning addressed Domestic Violence Awareness Month by standing with survivors and encouraging them to share their experiences while promoting available resources for those in crisis. "This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I’m standing with survivors to uplift their voices and break the harmful stigma. If you or a loved one is in crisis, call 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) for free, 24/7 confidential help."
