City of Burlington recently issued the following announcement.
Converge: Valentine’s Party & Food Drive

Love is in the air! Join us at Thataways Youth Center on February 14 as we celebrate the holiday of love. Light refreshments will be served for participants. In addition, we will be collecting food for our local Salvation Army Food Bank. Please see the list below for items needed. There is not cost for this program but we do ask that everyone donate items. Transportation is not provided. We will meet at Thataways at 10am and end at 12pm. Please register online or at the BRPD Main Office by February 13 at 12pm. This event is for those with special needs. Items needed: spaghetti pasta and sauce, canned fruits & vegetables, canned soup, individually wrapped snacks for children (goldfish, cookies, etc.) and individual cans/cups of Chef Boyardee and Mac & Cheese
